Thank you all for making my transition to a Born Again Diabetic so much easier than I ever thought possible! I owe my success to the support of my many new friends in the Diabetes OC!!
You have been through so much - and have been strong and brave to finally over-come your "demons" and get back on track. And you are so brave to relive the bad times and put your story out there. I'm sure you are helping more people than you can imagine. You should be very proud of yourself!
Thanks Karen! That means so much to me. You have all helped me realize, very quickly, that I have not been through any more than any of you! If you can all make it on a daily basis, then who am I to just give up? I can't stress enough how much each and every one of you has inspired me!! It is your lives and your stories that have given me hope and courage!
I was diagnosed with T1 diabetes when I was 9 years old. I am now newly married and I can see such an amazing future ahead of me. I lived as though I had never been diagnosed for the first 12 years after diagnosis and then decided I had to face reality. I did just that, went through a successful pregnancy and have a beautiful baby girl! I changed the name of my blog from "This is my SOS" because I think my SOS has been answered, and now I am on the journey of enjoying my new life!
